Telenovela de Globo ‘Tiempo de Amar’ licenciada para República Dominicana

La telenovela ‘Tempo de Amar’, un drama de época que se ha conquistado al público de países como Bolivia, Costa Rica y El Salvador, integra el catálogo de productos del Virtual Screening Autumn y fue recientemente licenciada para los canales del Grupo Albavisión en la República Dominicana, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay y Perú. Asimismo, hacen parte del acuerdo dos big hits de Globo, que también son destaques en el evento: ‘Suerte de Vivir’, actualmente en aire en Portugal, y ‘Dulce Ambición’, un gran éxito que ha recientemente estrenado en el canal Univisión, en EEUU.

De acuerdo con Angela Colla, Head de Ventas Internacionales de Globo, la cooperación comercial entre Globo y el Grupo Albavisión ha posibilitado que varios productos de la empresa llegaran a diversos públicos en las Américas, como las novelas ‘Imperio’, ‘La Vida Sigue’, ‘La Guerrera’, ‘’Preciosa Perla’ y ‘Reglas del Juego’. “La presencia de Globo, con sus contenidos, es significativa en varias regiones de América - y tener nuestros productos en los canales del Grupo Albavisión expande ese alcance todavía más”. La red es uno de los más fuertes conglomerados de comunicación, que marca presencia en 16 países de las Américas.

La telenovela ‘Tiempo de Amar’ es un drama de época en sintonía con las tendencias de la sociedad corriente. Dirigida por Jayme Monjardim, un director reconocido por ‘La Vida Sigue’, la telenovela habla de la fuerza del amor y tiene como conductor el relacionamiento de Maria Vitória (Vitória Strada) e Inácio (Bruno Cabrerizo). Sus miradas se cruzan en las fiestas de Semana Santa, en la ficticia aldea Morros Verdes, en Portugal, que parece parada en el tiempo, a pesar de los cambios que sucedieron en todo el mundo tras el fin de la Primera Guerra Mundial. Ella, la hija del influyente productor de vino y aceite de oliva, José Augusto Correia Guedes (Tony Ramos), señor de la famosa Quinta da Carrasqueira. Él, un rapaz sencillo de Sobreiro, el pequeño pueblo vecino, que vive con su tía Henriqueta (Nívea Maria), vive de trabajos de estación, como la cosecha de uvas, y se lleva una vida serena. Enamorado, Inácio no ha de ahorrar esfuerzos para luchar por el amor de Maria Vitória, a pesar de todos los obstáculos que surgirán en la vida de los dos, de ahí en adelante.

La historia de Alcides Nogueira se basa en un argumento original de Rubem Fonseca, uno de los más importantes escritores brasileños, y ha sido escrita en cooperación con Bia Corrêa do Lago, la hija de Fonseca. Rubem es conocido por sus libros de telenovela policiaca, pero fue una historia de amor de su familia que lo ha llevado a escribir el argumento en cooperación con su hija. La saga de los protagonistas de ‘Tiempo de Amar’ se inspira en la aventura real de la abuela del escritor, que se fue de Portugal y dejó con sus padres a la hija pequeña – madre de Rubem – en aras de encontrar a su gran amor. Él se había marchado a Brasil por trabajo y, en un determinado momento, paró de enviarle sus cartas. La historia entonces fue convertida en ficción por Alcides Nogueira.

Telenovela by Globo ‘A Time to Love’ is licensed to the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Peru

The telenovela ‘’A Time to Love’, a period drama which has captivated the audiences in countries as Bolivia, Costa Rica and El Salvador, is part of the portfolio of products of the Virtual Screening Autumn and was recently licensed to the channels of the Albavisión Group in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Peru. Two big hits by Globo were moreover included in the deal, and which are also highlights in the event: ‘A Life Worth Living’, currently on air in Portugal, and ‘Sweet Diva’, a major success, which has been recently debuted by the Univisión channel, in the US.

According to Angela Colla, Head of International Sales with Globo, the commercial cooperation between Globo and the Albavisión Group has made it possible for a number of products of the company to reach several audiences in the Americas, such as the telenovelas ‘Empire’, ‘The Life We Lead’, ‘Brave Woman’, ‘Precious Pearl’, and ‘Rules of the Game’. “The presence of Globo, with its contents, is significant in a number of regions of the American Continent - and having our products in the channels of the Albavisión Group broadens that reach even further”. The network is one of the strongest conglomerates of communication, which makes its presence known in 16 countries of the Americas.

The telenovela ‘A Time to Love’ is a period life drama in tune with the trends of modern society. Directed by Jayme Monjardim, a director renowned by successes which have travelled the world, such as ‘The Clone’ and ‘The Life We Lead’, the telenovela portrays the power of love and holds, as its main theme, the relationship of Maria Vitória (Vitória Strada) and Inácio (Bruno Cabrerizo). Their eyes meet in the festivities of the Holy Week, in the fictitious village of Morros Verdes, in Portugal, which seems to be frozen in time, in spite of the changes which erupted all over the world upon the end of the First World War. She, the daughter of the influent producer of wine and olive oil, José Augusto Correia Guedes (Tony Ramos), master of the famous Quinta da Carrasqueira. He, a modest young man of Sobreiro, the small neighbor village, who lives with his aunt Henriqueta (Nívea Maria), survives from seasonal work, such as the harvesting of grapes, and leads a peaceful life. Infatuated, Inácio shall spare no efforts to fight for the love of Maria Vitória, even with all the impediments that are to appear in the lives of the two, from that point on.

The story of Alcides Nogueira is based on an original plot of Rubem Fonseca, one of the most important Brazilian writers, and has been written in cooperation with Bia Corrêa do Lago, the daughter of Fonseca. Rubem is well known for his police detective thriller books, but a love story in his family is what has led him to write the plot in cooperation with his daughter. The saga of the characters from ‘A Time to Love’ is inspired in the real life adventure of the writer’s grand-mother, who sailed from Portugal after having entrusted her parents with her little child – Rubem’s mother – in order to find her true love. He had departed to Brazil for work and, at one point, stopped sending her letters. The story was then translated into fiction by Alcides Nogueira.
